In the meantime, Servette (Switzerland) and an unnamed club in the Portuguese top flight lead the race for the 21 - year - old's signature.

Belenenses, Vitória de Guimarães and Jagiellonia Bialystok had courted Simeon Nwankwo, a free agent,  in the last few weeks.

Portimonense S.C offered him a two - year contract extension but he rejected the opportunity to remain at the club.
