The camp of Nigeria’s senior team, Super Eagles bubbled seriously on Tuesday after striker Gbolahan Salami, star of last year’s WAFU Cup triumph in Abeokuta, arrived in the afternoon to bring the number of players to 27.
Enugu Rangers star player Fred Okpara who is currently injured has not been able to make it to the team’s Bolton White Apartments in Abuja, while John Agbawu, Bartholomew Akakem and Uche Kalu are still expected.
Head Coach Samson Siasia had his second training session with the players Tuesday evening at the artificial turf of the FIFA Technical Centre, and minced no words in telling the players that they have to imbibe the character and attitude of senior team players.
Already in camp are Bassey Akpan, Chigozie Agbim, Chinedu Agwu, Valentine Nwabili, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Wasiu Sowemimo, Kenneth Omeruo, ThankGod Ike, Gege Soriola, Bartholomew Ibenegbu, Julius Ubido, Rabiu Ali, ThankGod Amaefule, Daniel Mendel, Cletus Itodo, Gbolahan Salami, Osas Okoro, Moses Ogaga, Ekigho Ehiosun, John Huan, Ejike Uzoenyi, Kabiru Waziri, Femi Balogun, Lazarus Chukwu, Stanley Okoronkwo, AbdulJelil Ajagun and Akombo Ukeyinwa.
